this is the main image on the website, made this by having the image in photoshop and then typing the band name over and over again and making it smaller or larger and changing the orientation to make it look like a collage of words. i then added a white rectangle to the back of the page and changed the colour of the words to black and filled the space where you can see me in the middle with more words to create the word collage seen below i then used this graphic based design as the website background it also created a band aesthetic across the website
how artists are represented
How artists are represented in my chosen genre in my chosen genre of indie, it's not very often you see women being sexualised like the common stereotype, unless they are part of the band. it isn't very often you see women in indie music videos at all as the majority of indie bands are male which could arguably be an issue in itself - men dominate the indie genre. even the male artists are not sexualised as i feel that indie doesn't try to create a male gaze but is all about the band and the music itself.
